Jamia "Mia" Johnson is a proud owner and creative force behind Mia The Decorator, a new bakery born from passion, persistence, and a sprinkle of fate. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Mia graduated from Westinghouse High School in 2018.

Her journey into the world of baking began unexpectedly while working at The Golden Corral restaurant. When a coworker suddenly walked off the job, Mia stepped in to cover the bakery section and never looked back. That moment ignited a love for baking and cake decorating that led her to a job at the renowned Oakmont Bakery, where she honed her craft.

In 2021 Mia began sharing her cake decorating skills on social media. What started as casual content quickly turned into a viral sensation. Today she has built a devoted audience of over 1.1 million followers on TikTok, 140K on Instagram and 650K on Facebook. Her supporters, both in Pittsburgh and around the globe, have helped turn her dream into a reality and she is deeply grateful for their continued support and encouragement.

When Mia isn't crafting stunning cakes and sweet creations, she cherishes time with her 6-year-old son Jaiden and their two playful cats Brookie and Mittens, and their puppy Coco at their home in Turtle Creek.
